Group Art Therapy for Care Partners of Individuals with Dementia or MCI

Starting February 10th at The Hermitage Museum & Gardens, an eight-session art therapy workshop will be offered to Care Partners/Care Givers of Individuals with Dementia or Mild Cognitive Impairment.  These sessions will be held at the same time as the Group Art Therapy for Individuals with Dementia or Mild Cognitive Impairment: A Research Study, but in a separate group to allow for support specific to Care Partners.  Facilitated by an art therapists, participants will engage in art making to improve quality of life, help foster expression of feelings and thoughts, connect with others, explore role shift, compassion fatigue, care partner burden, and other topics.

No art skills necessary. Registration is required at RobertMR@odu.edu or Pasquacd@odu.edu.
