Reasons to Consider Becoming a Chamber Ambassador!
Are you a professional that wants to grow your network and help small businesses? If so, here are reasons to consider becoming a Chamber Ambassador. Our Ambassadors promote Chamber membership benefits and enhance goodwill to help us grow in the community. This is done by assisting in the recruitment of new members through personal contacts, encouraging involvement, spreading awareness, and assisting with the retention of existing members. Our Ambassadors are members like you, who volunteer their time to show support to their fellow members.
What are the qualities of a successful ambassador?
Successful Ambassadors are enthusiastic about the Chamber and want to tell everyone about it! Our Ambassadors possess good organizational skills and are dependable, honest individuals who believe in and support the efforts of the Chamber. Chamber Ambassadors can balance the necessary time commitment of being on the team with the demands of their jobs. These individuals enjoy meeting new people and providing positive support and encouragement to colleagues. They are social, strong contributors to any group, and enjoy spending time with other professionals. Chamber Ambassadors come from a wide variety of industries and businesses, making this group a great example of the Hampton Roads community.
What are the typical activities of ambassadors?
There are many aspects to being a Chamber Ambassador such as attending business socials and ribbon cuttings as well as reaching out to new and existing members alike to help them get the most out of their Chamber memberships. Another great perk of being an Ambassador is the opportunity to volunteer at our highly sought-after Signature Events in exchange for free admission. Additionally, Ambassadors are asked to spread the word about Chamber events and encourage members to attend. Finally, Chamber Ambassadors have exclusive monthly Ambassador Lunches that allow them to network with fellow Ambassadors and cultivate plans to contact new Members and existing Members.
