Let’s take a look at the trip overview:

Day 1
Depart from Dulles, DC and begin your voyage to Spain!

Day 2
Arrive in Malaga and proceed to customs before meeting your tour director. You will soon arrive in Torremolinos where you will get settled into your hotel and enjoy views of the Spanish coastline.

Day 3
Take a tour of Spain’s fourth largest city!  During your day in Seville, you will enjoy a panoramic tour of the city, see the gardens at Maria Luisa Park, stroll through Santa Cruz, and take in all of the other features this exciting city has to offer.

Day 4
Discover the Rock of Gibraltar and take in the great city of Gibraltar on this adventurous day trip. Located at the entrance of the Mediterranean, this location has been the subject of repeated conquest and siege throughout history. History buffs will love this stop!

Day 5
Take a rest day in Torremolinos or take an optional trip to Tangier. This optional excursion begins with a ferry ride from Gibraltar to Morocco and then to Tangier. You will tour both the modern half of the city as well as Spartel, the northwestern-most point of the African continent. Next, you will visit the old town of Casbah, known for its many markets.

Day 6
Explore the mountainous region of Ronda. In Ronda, you will see the Church of the Holy Spirit, Plaza de Toros Maestranza, town square, as well as the bull-fighting museum. Learn about the culture of Ronda as well as the history of producing wine. Wine lovers, this one is for you!

Day 7
Have a leisurely day or take an optional tour of Granada. During this tour, a local guide will show you Alcazaba, Carlos V Palace, as well as Generalife Palace. Don’t forget your camera!

Day 8
Take an optional trip to Mijas to see both the coast and countryside or simply relax at the hotel. The choice is yours!

Day 9
Time to go home! After breakfast, you will either make your transfer to the Malaga airport for your flight back to the United States or you will proceed to your Madrid extension.
