Emily (Em) Nelson serves as Coordinator of Programs and Development for the Hampton Roads Chamber where she supports the planning and execution of a wide range of events that engage, connect, and serve the regional business community.
In this role, Emily helps deliver key Chamber programming throughout the year, including Military-focused events, the annual Golf Outing, and other signature initiatives.
She also serves as Events Coordinator for tHRive, where she designs and executes dynamic, engaging, and educational experiences for young professionals across Hampton Roads ranging from the Young Professionals Summit and professional development workshops to Member Meetups, Local Looks, In Good Company gatherings, and hands-on community impact initiatives that provide the resources young professionals need to grow, connect, and thrive.
What Emily finds most rewarding about her role is creating unique, meaningful experiences that bring people together and strengthen connections across the Hampton Roads community.
Outside of work, Emily loves discovering niche, local businesses that showcase the unique character and entrepreneurial spirit of Hampton Roads’ business community.
