Carnival Cruise Line’s Summer Jobs Program Returns!
For the second consecutive year, Carnival Cruise Line will host a local summer jobs program in Norfolk for rising high school students at least 17 years old. The inaugural Carnival Fun-ternship Program was a success, providing students from six different homeports with real-world skills in the cruise industry, and we’re so pleased to bring it back!
The 2026 Carnival Fun-ternship Program is an eight-week paid internship that runs between June and August 2026 and will provide students with hands-on experience working alongside Carnival’s guest port services team. They will get a behind-the-scenes look at how Carnival’s cruise operations run at the port while building real-world skills and exploring careers in travel and hospitality.
Last year, our partners were instrumental in spreading the word to community members and, ultimately, to students about the Carnival Fun-ternship. We’d love for you to again help share the internship opportunity with your audiences through your website, newsletters, social media, word of mouth and other channels. We’ve created a ready-to-use social media post, including an image and copy, for you to share across platforms – access HERE. You can also see the full press release on the launch of the application process HERE.
Local high school students can visit HERE to learn more about the program and submit their applications. The application deadline is June 8, 2026, and spaces are limited, so we encourage students to apply soon. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need additional materials to share.
