Find out who won!

NORFOLK, VA — May 17, 2024: Personal injury law firm Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers is pleased to announce the winners of its annual Vote for a Cause initiative. The announcement was made during a live press conference held today in Downtown Norfolk. The three local organizations receiving the most votes from Hampton Roads community members this spring will share a total of $15,000 in donations from The Car Crash Experts.

After 9,642 votes with 602 different organizations being nominated, the winners of the 2024 Vote for a Cause contest are:

1st Place: Reck League – $10,000

2nd Place: SUFF. Impact – $3,000

3rd Place: Panda’s Fight Against Cancer – $2,000

Now in its fourth year, the Vote for a Cause initiative was established to provide much needed funding and highlight the invaluable contributions of local organizations that help Hampton Roads thrive. The three winning organizations have now collectively been awarded $15,000 in donations to use at their discretion.

Last year, Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers partners Griffin O’Hanlon and Jim Hurley presented $15,000 in checks to the 2023 Vote for a Cause winners—Reck League, The Mount Church, and Stop the Violence 757. In 2023 the initiative saw massive support from the Hampton Roads

community, with many tuning in to support their favorite causes. This year was no different. Managing Partner Jim Hurley passed the microphone to Partner, Griff O’Hanlon to announce the winners.

“We are very excited today to announce the winners of our Vote for a Cause Campaign,” said Griffin. “In 2019, we started the Vote for a Cause initiative as a part of our Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers Cares initiative. Vote for a Cause is a huge part of our Cares initiative because it gives people a chance to highlight worthy causes that make an impact in people’s everyday lives.”

The press conference was held at noon today at Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers’ headquarters located at 125 St. Pauls Blvd, Norfolk, VA, 23510. Hampton Roads residents, the organizations with the most votes, and members of the press were invited to attend to watch the announcement live.

Vote for a Cause is one of several initiatives launched by Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers under Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers Cares to thank Hampton Roads for its continuous support. Recently, the firm donated $2,750 in grocery gift cards to Norfolk residents during the annual Berkley Grocery Giveaway. In addition to Vote for a Cause, Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers plans to donate $15,000 to three local schools through its annual Vote for a School contest in the Fall.
