WHAT:

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the completion of its Virginia Beach Regional Support Center. This cutting-edge facility will be a central hub for logistics, warehousing, e-commerce operations and on-the-job training opportunities.

The Virginia Beach Regional Support Center, spanning 108,000 square feet, will house logistics and warehousing operations and an outlet store open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center will also feature an auction on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, with a preview at 5:30 p.m. and the live auction at 6 p.m. The Support Center will service all of Goodwill’s south Hampton Roads locations through donations and logistics support, creating significant cost savings and lessening the environmental impact on transportation.

With 51 dedicated associates, the center will provide valuable on-the-job training opportunities through Goodwill Academy, furthering its commitment to helping people help themselves through the power of work.
