What if just one hour a month could help shape a college student’s future?

The Greater Norfolk Corporation’s Executive Mentorship Program is seeking business professionals to mentor students from Batten University, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion University, and Tidewater Community College during the 2026–2027 academic year.

From September through April, mentors meet one-on-one with a student for just one hour each month—offering professional guidance, career advice, resume support, and connections to others in their field.

Many of the students we serve are the first in their families to attend college. Your experience, encouragement, and network can help them navigate the transition from college to career with greater confidence. Become a mentor and help a local college student reach their academic, career, and personal goals.

The time commitment is minimal (about an hour a month during the academic year), but the impact can be immeasurable. In many cases, the mentorship is not only transformational for the student, but for the mentor as well:
