Langley for Families Foundation Raises Half-Million for Third Consecutive Year at 10th Annual Charity Golf Classic

Net Proceeds Will Support Local Nonprofits in Education, Healthcare, Housing and Human Services

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Langley for Families Foundation raised over $500,000 in gross profits for the third consecutive year at its 10th Annual Charity Golf Classic in Williamsburg on May 21. Net proceeds will go to local nonprofits that offer education, healthcare, housing and human services.

Over 100 golfers enjoyed a wonderful day on the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club’s Gold Course, with multiple opportunities for challenges and prizes, including longest drive, closest to the pin and hole-in-one grand prizes. Golden Horseshoe golf pro Erick Mellott joined players on the course for a Beat the Pro contest and a chance to win a new Titleist TSr2 driver. Congratulations to tournament winners:

  • 1st place: Tom Davies and Team at Glenn Development
  • 2nd place: Jeff Davies and Team at Glenn Development
  • 3rd place: Todd Esposito and Team at Canon
