Veteran-Led Technology Hub Opens in Virginia Beach to Get Critical Technology to the Warfighter Faster

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – September 24, 2025 – Neptune SHIELD Innovation Tech Hub (NS), a veteran-led ecosystem designed to accelerate the development and deployment of dual-use technologies, announces its grand opening on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at its newly designed 15,000-square-foot facility.

Located at 448 Viking Drive, Virginia Beach, the launch will convene investors, entrepreneurs, government officials, and industry leaders to unveil a new model for defense innovation—one that leverages the operational experience of military veterans to solve critical national security challenges.

The long, painful “Valley of Death” acquisition trail found in the legacy Department of Defense (DoD) stifles innovation. Neptune SHIELD directly attacks this problem by providing a collaborative environment where startups, powered by veteran expertise, can rapidly develop, test, and commercialize solutions for both government and commercial markets.
