Company breaks ground on Ascend at Hilltop

Virginia Beach, Va.—The Breeden Company, the nationally recognized Virginia Beach-based real estate development firm, announced today they have broken ground on Ascend at Hilltop, a $46 million multifamily project in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Breeden Construction serves as general contractor on the project. The Breeden Company’s Property Management division will manage the asset once construction is complete. The project is located off Laskin Road and will consist of 115 two and three-bedroom apartments with home sizes ranging from 1128 SF – 1416 SF.

Convenient to the oceanfront area, various major employers including the Navy’s NAS Oceana/Dam Neck Installation and the Hilltop Shops corridor, Ascend at Hilltop also ensures easy connectivity.

“The Hilltop submarket in Virginia Beach is undergoing infrastructural improvements, allowing new businesses and traffic to experience the corridor. This makes Ascend at Hilltop an additional asset for people wanting to live and work in this widely popular area of Virginia Beach. We also have strategically designed and are developing the community with only two- and three-bedroom apartments. This particular section of Virginia Beach has not seen a great deal of new multifamily construction. The Breeden Company expects to deliver the first units of Ascend at Hilltop in Fall 2024.

In addition to Ascend at Hilltop, The Breeden Company is developing several other communities in the Hampton Roads market including Avant at Huntington Pointe in Newport News, Lake Taylor Pointe in Norfolk, and The Pinnacle on 31^st Street in Virginia Beach.
