UPLIFT PROGRAM BLOOMS IN PORTSMOUTH

PORTSMOUTH, VA (June 27, 2024) – Anthony Global Holdings Inc. (AGH) is joining forces with Portsmouth Partnership to bring its Economic UPLIFT Capital Accelerator Program to Portsmouth. This 8-week course, open to business owners serving emerging communities, starts Wednesday, July 24, at Bloom Coworking.

“We are excited to be working with Portsmouth Partnership and expanding our accelerator program in Hampton Roads,” said Steven Anthony, CEO of AGH, “We are eager to get started with this new cohort and see how we can help more small businesses grow.”

AGH Advisory Services, a subsidiary of AGH, runs the UPLIFT Program, which promotes growth for its business participants by enhancing access to capital, business networks and supply chains; fostering equitable economic growth; and building wealth in the region. The accelerator boosts participation among coalitions of economic development groups, entrepreneurship support organizations, major corporations, anchor institutions and philanthropic organizations, all committed to supporting and scaling minority, women and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses. Prior to expanding into Portsmouth, three UPLIFT cohorts were held in Virginia Beach, with another one scheduled to start in September.

“The biggest takeaway of the program is the networking among our peers, the connections and the business opportunities that we’ve developed,” said previous UPLIFT graduate Timothy Armstrong of Omnicrut LLC.

“No matter the field of business you’re in, through this program, you’ll learn a lot and meet a lot of people that can actually benefit you,” said UPLIFT graduate De’Vante Austin of A Cleaning Crew, LLC.
