The Puppet Friends Smile Show Joins the Family Time Series

Operation Smile’s Interactive Learning Center Presents “Urpi Makes a Promise” at Zeiders American Dream Theater — Sep. 14, 2024

Virginia Beach, Va. – September 11, 2024 – After captivating audiences at The Z’s Fringe Fest in April, on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. “The Puppet Friends Smile Show: Urpi Makes a Promise” returns to Zeiders American Dream Theater, located at 4509 Commerce Street in Virginia Beach. 

This production by Operation Smile’s Anthony L. and Hideko S. Burgess Interactive Learning Center (ILC) showcases themes of empathy and kindness through storytelling and song. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the box office or online at https://thez.org/event/puppet/

 Tickets are free for children 12 and under, with registration.

About “Urpi Makes a Promise”

Featuring original music written by Ryan Clemens and Samuel Flint and produced by Skye Zentz and Adam Hanson, “Goodbye Everyone” and “With a Smile”, The Puppet Friends Show will teach young learners about empathy, culture and the world around them.

Life isn’t easy for ten-year-old Urpi. Born with cleft lip and cleft palate, Urpi struggles with being bullied, feeling lonely, and fitting in with the other kids. Embark on a heartwarming journey with Urpi through story and song alongside Operation Smile’s Puppet Friends and discover the power of empathy that will inspire little learners to be more kind.
