NORFOLK, VA – Sprint to the Virginia Zoo for an exclusive, one-of-a-kind opportunity to network with not only humans, but furry attendees; three cheetahs, to be exact.
Cocktails & Conservation, held on August 23, celebrates one of the Zoo’s top conservation partners, Action for Cheetahs in Kenya, with Director, Mary Wykstra. During a fascinating presentation about the species in the wild and measures taken to protect their future, Ambassador Cheetahs from the Columbus Zoo will be here to give guests an up-close look of these amazing and critically endangered animals. The cheetahs will be just three months old.
“We’re excited to provide such a meaningful event to the community that ties in our great conservation work with a defining moment of meeting a cheetah,” said Greg Bockheim, Executive Director of the Virginia Zoo. “The partnership with Action for Cheetahs and the Columbus Zoo gives guests a closer, new perspective on cheetahs that they won’t find anywhere else.”
A great opportunity to bring friends, co-workers or your networking organization. The event begins at 6 pm and includes a visit from the Zoo’s own animal ambassadors, hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Presentation will begin promptly at 6:45 pm.
Tickets are $15 per person and are limited. Purchase in advance at virginiazoo.org/events/cocktails-and-conservation/
