Throughout the year, the Chamber advocates on behalf of our members, the business community and the region. We engage our region’s public and private sectors toward a common goal of creating conditions that help businesses succeed. We work with elected officials, municipal staff, and the Hampton Roads delegation on policy issues and initiatives that move our region forward. As the leading business organization in the region, our business-driven advocacy work has saved employers millions.
HR Chamber Legislative Priorities
The Hampton Roads Chamber’s legislative agenda is produced by members of the Legislative Affairs Committee and business stakeholders, and is approved by the Chamber’s Board of Directors. These priorities outline our positions on critical issues affecting the business community.

Elected Officials and Resources
It is only through a continual dialogue with our elected officials that the business community can make an impact on legislative decisions. The Hampton Roads Chamber wants to keep that line of communication open by providing contact information for elected officials and an array of other helpful resources.
757 Chamber Alliance
The six major Chambers of Commerce in the Hampton Roads area add up to the force needed for economic recovery. The Hampton Roads Chamber initiated the Alliance because the best way to produce a pro-business environment is to collaborate.
HRBizPAC
The Hampton Roads Business Political Action Committee (HRBizPAC) is a non-profit, bi-partisan political action committee comprised of business leaders committed to electing candidates who share the Hampton Roads Chamber’s goal of job creation and a business-friendly economic climate. It was established as a financial avenue to identify and support candidates whose platforms align with the HRBizPAC’s legislative agenda.
