Stephanie Gorham serves as the President and CEO for Volunteer Hampton Roads, an affiliate of the Hampton Roads Chamber. Under her supervision, Volunteer Hampton Roads connects businesses and community organizations with volunteers to create a more engaged and resilient region.
Stephanie is a regional connector, utilizing her vast network to match needs to resources. She is passionate about networking and finding solutions to community issues. Saving the world was a childhood dream, now she uses knowledge and resources to make a positive difference within her reach. Volunteerism and board service especially, has been an important part of her life as she has served on 14 nonprofit boards since 2009.
Stephanie is a seasoned nonprofit executive with over 20 years’ experience in Texas and Virginia. She received her bachelor’s degree from Midwestern State University, and is currently working on her MBA from Virginia Wesleyan University. Stephanie is a 2012 recipient of the Top 20 Under 40 in North Texas, a 2012 graduate of Leadership Wichita Falls, a 2019 graduate of the CIVIC Leadership Institute, and recognized as Inside Business’ 2021 Women in Business and 2022 Power List’s People to Watch.
On a personal note, Stephanie is the mother of four brilliant human beings: Kaitlyn, Greyson, Lily and Sally; wife to a Commander in the Navy: Jim; and a proud resident of Chesapeake. She believes that Hampton Roads is the largest small-town in the nation. She loves that she can go to an event in any city in this region and always run into friends.
