Amy Parvez serves as a Small Business Advisor for the Hampton Roads Small Business Development Center specifically in the area of child care. In this role, Amy provides support for community members looking to open family in home centers or privately owned centers in the region helping assist them navigate through licensing procedures, staffing, quality measurement and improvement while allowing for more childcare spaces available within Hampton Roads.
Amy has spent over 15 years in the Early Child Care industry as a teacher, trainer, talent recruiter and director. She believes that Early Childhood Education is the foundation of learning for our children and is truly passionate about Early Childhood teachers and their growth within the industry. Amy believes that Early Childcare Education provides curriculum and assessment that are an integral part of a child’s school career.
On a personal note, Amy enjoys taking advantage of good weather with her husband and two girls near any of our great beaches!
