Lauren Roberts Carter serves as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications. In this role, Lauren is tasked with ensuring the strong visibility of the Chamber along with executing a robust communications and marketing strategy. This includes communications across social media, email, print, and all forms of digital media. Lauren has been with the Chamber since June of 2022 and is working hard to increase all aspects of the Chamber’s member and community reach through her and her team’s communication and marketing efforts.
Her goal is to continue to tell the Chamber’s story and showcase all of the amazing work that the Chamber is doing for our members and community at large. She is passionate about leveraging digital media, social media specifically, to share how strong the region’s business community is. She is proud of the Chamber’s commitment to setting the conditions for businesses to succeed in Hampton Roads and works daily to share the hard work that is being done to accomplish that.
With a passion for social media and an eye for creativity, Lauren utilizes her understanding of how to utilize a powerful social media strategy to meet and exceed not only the goals of the Marketing and Communication team, but those of the entire organization. She brings with her strong organizational skills and a love for community building and story-telling. These skill sets combine to allow Lauren to connect the Chamber community in unique and compelling ways.
On a personal note, Lauren is originally from Pittsburgh, PA but has called the 757 home for the past 12 years. She deeply loves this community and all it has to offer its residents. Lauren spends a lot of time serving on various boards and organizations that support the region’s overall growth. When not scrolling social media or attending various events, you can find Lauren enjoying a day of shopping which likely involves adding to her growing shoe collection.
