Melissa Rose serves as the Manager of Programs and Development and as the Manager of LEAD757. In her role as Manager of Programs and Development, she is responsible for the planning, organizing, and managing of the Chamber’s Signature Events. As Manager of LEAD757, she assists in the precise planning and top-notch execution of program days for each year’s class. She also works to connect emerging business leaders to both the people and the information they need to grow in their respective careers.
She is passionate about delivering high-value and quality experiences to our members at each Chamber event. Melissa is a firm believer that face-to-face interaction is where deals are done, connections are made, and ideas are launched. She uses her business and event planning skills to excel in balancing the big picture along with the details to generate successful outcomes. She believes that to execute a world-class event you must have both collaboration and communication.
On a personal note, Melissa was raised in a Navy family but was fortunate to have remained in Hampton Roads her entire childhood. After spending more than a decade in Washington D.C. producing annual conferences and tradeshows for a variety of membership associations, Melissa is happy to be back home in Virginia Beach. She is proud to have grown up in a community that supports and champions service members, their families, and our veterans.
