Woods Rogers Vandeventer Black
Woods Rogers Vandeventer Black Vice-Chair and Principal, Deborah M. Casey, has been named a “Leader in the Law” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly (VLW) for 2022. Attorneys receive this distinction by demonstrating a commitment to their profession by lobbying for changes in the law, impacting Virginia’s justice system, and their community involvement.
Casey has also been recognized as an “Influential Women of the Year” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly, “Women In The Law” by Virginia Living Magazine, and “Women In Business” by Inside Business. In addition to her many accomplishments, she was the first and still is one of only a few lawyers in Southeastern Virginia admitted as a Fellow to CAI National’s prestigious College of Community Association Lawyers (“CCAL”).
For more than three decades, Casey has concentrated her practice in representing Virginia’s common interest communities providing exceptional legal counseling tailored to their needs. Her clients include a variety of condominium and property owners’ associations, as well as mixed-use and planned communities. She also has broad experience representing creditors and commercial property owners in leasing, contracts, bankruptcy, collections, and dispute resolution. Her litigation experience yielded a great understanding of contracts that enables her to advance and protect the interests of businesses and property owners.
