Tom Moss with Atlantic Benefit Named President of the Board

Hope House Foundation is pleased to announce the 2023-2024 Board of Directors. The officers include President Tom Moss III, Consultant at Atlantic Benefit; Vice President Bryan Fowler, Chaplain at Architectural Graphics Inc; Secretary Scott Guirlinger, Senior Manager for User Experience at Hexagon; and Treasurer Angela Ianni, Capital Group.

Other board members include Dorothy Clark, DiAna White, Jonathan Gray, Janet Davis-Merlo, Joshua Harris, Pam Katrancha, Richard C. Mapp III, Sarah McCoy, Tom McCune, M.D., Victor Pope, Priscilla Queen and Antoine “Tony” Jaume.

Several awards were made during Hope House’s Annual Dinner including Jonathan Gray for the Board Achievement Award, Jonee Justin for Direct Support Professional of the Year, Newport News Shipbuilding Gives for the Jeff Miller Award, The Reass Family for the Legacy Award, and Sentara Healthcare for the Community Award.

Since 1964, Hope House has worked on the frontlines of the battle for independence, community inclusion and true citizenship for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization provides individualized support for adults in their own homes or apartments. Currently, it serves more than 120 people in Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach. Hope House is known as an innovator and leader in the field, and in 2008, it received the American Association for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities national award for full community inclusion. In 2012, it was named ANCOR Foundation’s Service Provider of the Year, and two of Hope House Foundation’s staff members have been national award recipients for direct service professionals.
